Company
We started with a health institution.
In 2021 Emcodesa, a health-sector short-course provider in Colombia, needed staff who could perform procedures, not staff who had watched them. We built Mi Campus for that, and it has run in production since. The lesson that shaped everything after: watching is not learning.
Origin
Where Mi Campus comes from.
Mi Campus started in 2021 with Emcodesa, a health-sector short-course provider in Colombia. Their courses trained clinical staff on procedures where a skipped step has consequences, and the platforms available at the time measured the same thing: how much video had been watched. That number told the institution nothing it needed to know.
So we built the course around the moment of doing. A short lesson, then a challenge the learner had to perform, then a record of how it went. Mi Campus has been in production since. The product grew into paths, reinforcement and verifiable certificates; the premise did not change.
Thesis
Three principles.
Everything on the platform follows from three statements about how people actually learn to do things.
- 01
Activation over consumption
Content exists to enable an action. A lesson with no challenge after it is not finished; it is not even a capsule.
- 02
Adaptive by evidence
The path changes with what the learner does, not with what the course planned. Reinforcement opens where the error appears, for that person, on that point.
- 03
Competence, not attendance
A certificate states what the person demonstrated, attempt by attempt. It never states that they were present.
Principles
What we do not negotiate.
Six rules. They decide what gets built and what gets turned down, no matter who asks.
- 01
Activation over consumption
No lesson ships without a challenge. If a feature makes watching easier and doing no better, it does not get built.
- 02
Demonstrable competence
We certify that a person solved problems under the institution's standard, with the attempts on record. Never that they watched.
- 03
The instructor is irreplaceable
Instructors design the challenge, set the rubric and review the evidence that needs a human eye. The platform organizes their work; it does not take it over.
- 04
AI assists, it does not grade
Sommatic AI helps an instructor draft a capsule or a learner find the next step. Grades come from rubrics and reviewers, and every suggestion is labeled as such.
- 05
Data isolated per institution
Each institution's learners, attempts and certificates live in their own scope. One institution never sees another's, and neither do we without a reason on record.
- 06
Operable without AI inference
Every capsule, path, reinforcement rule and certificate works with the AI switched off. Inference adds convenience; it is never a dependency.
A StoneOS platform
One identity, one event history.
Mi Campus is one of the nine StoneOS platforms. StoneOS is the operating layer they share: identity with Veripass, events with Vectry, and the standards that let a learner's record, an access event and a certificate live in one history instead of nine.
For an institution this means one login for staff and learners, one place where every attempt is recorded, and certificates whose issuer and holder are known identities. Mi Campus does not keep its own user store or its own event log; it uses the ones the rest of the layer uses.
Hover a platform.
- Veripass One sign-in for all your institutions and every Blackwood platform.
- Sommatic AI An assistant inside the platform, when your institution turns it on. It navigates and acts; it never grades.
- Vectry Every attempt is recorded as an event you can trace and audit.
